CDH VPN Installation Guide (for Windows and Mac)

NOTE: If you have the CISCO AnyConnect Secure mobility client already installed, please proceed to step 9.

 

Windows Instructions (for Mac Instructions, click here.)

1. Open a web browser e.g. Internet Explorer, Chrome Firefox (in this example we will be using Firefox).

2. Type in the following address in your address bar:

 

https://sslvpn.cdh.ucla.edu

 

3. You will be presented with an option to change your Group. Please change it to HUMNETVPN, and enter your AD username and password.

 

 

NOTE: Please use your HUMNET username and password

4. Please click on the Install button to begin VPN installation.

NOTE: During the installation of the VPN Software you may encounter several of pop-ups.

5. Please click run/install if you see the following pop-up.

6. Please click “Don’t Block” if you see the following pop-up.

7. Please click “Continue” if you see the following pop-up.

8. Once installation completes you will find the following icon at the bottom right corner of your screen:

9. To connect to the CDH VPN, click on the VPN icon at the bottom right of your screen, and verify that the address is sslvpn.cdh.ucla.edu.  If you do not see sslvpn.cdh.ucla.edu please enter it and click connect.

10. To disconnect, click the VPN icon at the bottom right of your screen, and click Disconnect.

11. To reconnect to the CDH VPN in the future, select CDH in the drop down field and click connect.

 

 

Mac Instructions

1. Please navigate to the following web address https://sslvpn.cdh.ucla.edu

2. Please select HUMNETVPN as your Group and enter your HUMNET username and password.

3. Once you are log in please click the "Mac OS X 10.6+ (intel)

4. Locate your Downloads folder, double click on the anyconnect-macos.. file

5. Go through the install accepting the defaults.

6. Once installation has finish, locate your Applications folder and expand the Cisco folder.

7. Double click on Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.

8. You will be presented with the following pop up.

9. Please type in sslvpn.cdh.ucla.edu if it is not already there.

10. You will be prompted to enter your AD username and password.

11. Once logged in, you will be presented with a welcome banner and a CiscoVPN icon in the upper right corner of your screen.

11. To reconnect to the CDH VPN in the future, select CDH in the drop down field and click connect.
